The Sun failed and the Moon skipped,
The routine sometimes,
But penury rapped our doors perpetually,
And doomed us willy-nilly.

We the people lived remembering the equality,
Existed in the Utopian society,
And our hands glutted with valor in our heredity,
To earn infernal dignity.

We the people lived letting our dreams melt in the Sun,
For our lords’ gratification,
And gave up our pride – doing menial labors,
To soothe their limbs.

We the people mortgaged ourselves to the super humans,
For breathing the air of independence,
And ruined ourselves to live in the iniquitous universal,
To seek meaning for our meaningless survival.
