Farewell, my friend,
For we shan't meet again.
Until the last of days,
Until the night has no end,
When the ground turns hard,
And the wells run dry.
When all life is dead
And the waves run high.
When the moon is all
You ever see in the sky
Until, that too, disappears,
In the blink of an eye
Until bittersweet words
Are no longer spoken
And all that is left
Is a small golden token
Of gratidude and love
That you gave to me here
As a never forget
The laughs and the cheer
And sheer exhilaration
As we rode on the train
And saw all the beauty
That one day would end
So farewell, my friend
I won't be here again.
