Farm Love

Early morning cow-milkers
Early morning skinny-dippers
Hot coffee, creamy whole milk
More coffee, milk the cows
Sit and laugh. Oh, how they laugh
From the belly to the throat-
A soft giggle and a hearty hoot.
Gardeners picking weeds
Picking tonight's salad
Throwing old cucumbers to the cows
Nothing wasted.
A spiral garden, walk the track
Eat more kale, the garden snack
A small, red barn
The smell of hay
Fiddle music throughout the day
Cooking food, mozzarella,
Cow tongue, good steaks
Eat more kale again.
They love the land
They love to laugh
They love to celebrate in life
They love to exist with nature.
