Fatal Love

I gave you my all,
Loved your flaws,
Forgave your mistakes,
Healed your heartbreaks.
You took and took until I had nothing left,
Yet I gave and gave until my very last breath.
I gave my mind, soul, all my love and trust,
Until my lungs grew old and weak like metal with rust.
Though I did not talk of all my pain,
There is one question that will always remain.
I know my suffering was loud and clear,
So did you not understand or just not want to hear?
