Fatal Mistakes

The long lonely paths
And suns that won't shine
The people who aren't living but alive
For all the therapists that believe I'm fine

The dogs that can hear but not speak
And the trees that breathe but cannot form breaths
For all those who pretended to be okay
But secretly wanted their deaths

The lilacs that turn grey
And the winds that slowly cease
The clouds that threaten
Their last release

The waters that became graveyards
And the graveyards that held close
people it didn't know
For the ones who constantly feel low

The bags under your eyes quiver
And the pills to make you live
Become the ones you don't want to take
For everyone around you thought it was a mistake
