In truth, I lie, I feel the burn-
escaping nothing, yet pulling away.
Soaked to the bone, stagnant, I stay.
Watching from afar, sensing their eyes
straining to see my pathetic demise.
True to my nature, I leaned on a lie-only
to find it had left me behind. Stuck as
I am with nowhere to go, drowning in thoughts
long put away.waiting for death to take me away.
