Fathers heart races

A fathers heart races
Over these two beautiful faces,

Still innocent and young
They don't KNOW all these places,

Only six years have passed
One's already acing the bases,

Legs shaking as the little one is next
"Please no boys, til at least 36",

The tears begin flowing
Just embrace it and face it,

These two beautiful faces
Will be going their own places.
