Fear

A women in her office suit at night,
Was waiting for her car under the dim street light.
Her heart thumping with fear ,
As she prayed that today she won't have to shed a tear.

She remembered the time she read the news,
About a Hyderabad women which left the nation forever bruised.
A gang of four beasts lied about her scooter's tier,
They raped , tortured and put the innocent's body on fire.

Her mind flashed a sad news,
Which made everyone who claimed "The victim is the only reason of rape" confused.
It was the assault of a little girl,
Roaming on the streets, lost in her own dreamy world,
The culprit was never caught,
The parents who lost their precious gem asked "What was her fault ?"

It gave her goosebumps,
By remembering what happened to a grandmother who was tortured and killed by a scum.
What was her mistake even?
Fro the summers she just wanted to viste her grandson Steven.

As she saw the car's light,
she took a breath of relief,
Glad that today her soul won't be in grief.
Her prayers were not in vain,
And for atleast today she could see her family again
