Fear
Breath fresh in the air
Softly playing with his hair
Time seems to fly fast
By the spell that he has cast
Tears coming down his face
As she holds him in a tight embrace
Soon his breathing turns deep
She lets out the breath she cannot keep
She dresses and looks outside
Waits for her feelings to subside
She opens the door quietly
Walks to the river finally
She sits and dips her feet inside
Only in God does she confide
Gets in the water to float away
Because she was never meant to stay
