Fickle felines

Fickle felines are indifferent
independent from their host
inquisitive and leery
skittish as you approach

but when they desire a warm caress
serpentining between your legs
you hear their purring motor
brushing up against you as they beg

arching back as you start to pet
then abruptly it’s denounced
changing their mind to a chase
they would rather pounce a mouse.

This Poems Story

The artwork is mine. I had a cat at one time. The poem is nothing more than my observations about cats in general.
