Fight or Flight

When I was nine years old
I watched my mommy pack her bags

She kissed our foreheads and said goodbye to the life we had

When I was thirteen years old
I watched my mother drive away

I stood by my crying brother by the airplane gate

When I was sixteen years old
I saw my mother come back

We fought and fought, I drove her mad

When I was eighteen years old
My mommy hugged me before she left

She ran to another life, I guess she's not happy yet.
