Final Moments

The darkness
Is hopeless and terrifying
It feeds off your fears
And futile dreams

Footsteps above increase
The already accelerated heartbeat
Pounding is heard from within
And all around

Life reveals itself to her in a flash
With all her happy moments
Becoming a collage, the
Only thing keeping her company before her final
Moments catch up
To her

A squeak disturbs her thoughts
And within seconds
The monster that haunts her
Grabs her by the neck
Lifts her above the ground
Crushes her desperate cries
And seethes the venomous words

If I can’t be the one that loves you
Then NO ONE CAN

SHLUNK

Breath catches
Eyes exhibit life draining slowly
As her once so called loving husband
Turned Murder
Watches death claim her

Releasing his grasp
Her body falls to the ground
Into a heap

And without another word
He leaves her alone
Once again

As her eyes stay
Wide open
Encompassing the last signs of life
