Finally at peace

As the number on the scale rose, her smile fell.
As if the size of her girth
determined the size of her worth.
It took her a minute and a deep
breath or two,
before she remembered her value was based on neither of
the two.
As the moments wore on, her
confidence grew, and she decided
to look at the world anew.
A place of confidence, support, & love,
where the number on a scale and
value based on worth were concepts rebuked by all
those she knew.
