Finding Arianna

My focus was on her alluring eyes,
imagining flavors of her sweet lips.
One afternoon bitter loneliness dies,
an enduring fragmented heart she strips.
I had not imagined my future bright,
no sympathy resides in frigid swells.
I felt her intense beams of warming light,
a kingdom where unvarnished beauty dwells.
I would never ask why it took this long,
to obtain a moment for us to share.
I would never question feelings so strong,
a crusade for answers I would not dare.
What matters most is that I have arrived,
a sublime state; love no longer deprived.
