Finding Hope

The journeys been long and the shoreline appears.
She's tired, she's weary... plagued by her fears.
She's climbed over mountains and sailed the rough seas.
Yet she's paralyzed by salvation, she doesn't know how to be free.
Before this all started she believed in mankind.
Now she's seen so much darkness she is afraid what she'll find...
Is there anything left? Or has she completely run out?
The girl who once was so strong is now riddled with doubt.
Her mind was a fortress, her heart in a cage...
But the decision was hers, so she turned the page...
She decided to live, to learn a new dance.
She had come way too far to not take this chance.
So she opened her heart to the new and unknown.
Even though she'd been hurt, that's when she'd grown.
