Fire

A blazing warrior of the sun. a knight.
A beautiful destroyer of the land
Unleashed, the blaze consumes in bloody light
Destruction, peril, death by fiery hand

A burning essence that cannot be tamed
Unstoppable, it seems, the brilliant rage
But we've reduced the beast to candle flame
We took its spirit, locked it in a cage

The fire's subdued and bends to our will
But left alone, the flame jumps free and roars
Unbound and free, it bites, intent to kill
Its strength restored, it rains down death once more

It prowls the earth, its fiery grip relentless
and turns on us, its captors, seeking vengeance
