Firestone

We come alive at night
Paths are alight
by moonlight
Stars align
with precision

Love drives out the cold
Contagious affection
set off by your touch
I'm enchanted
by the rhythm of your heart

Sparks into flames
Droplets into downpour
Closed eyes and moving lips
Tilted heads and caressing arms

Electricity coursing through
is proof that we're alive
Our hearts whisper monologues
of pain and hope

When souls echo
and when tears merge
Love will come as flames
and turn our pain to ashes
