Fishy Love

I fell in love with a fish.
It was not my first wish.
But these things just sort of happen,
when you live beside the ocean.

My parents don’t agree.
They certainly don’t shout with glee.
I try to tell them he’s nice,
and that doesn’t suffice.
But fish or not,
he’s hot!

Our love will never fail,
even if he’s covered in scales.
We can live in the water,
or we can live on the land,
as long as we’re living,
fin in hand.
