Fit for a Queen

Place that crown on top of your natural hair
Though an illusion, a beautiful conclusion
Continue to make them stop and stare
Just like Mercutio at the fair
Carrying on curls with elevation
Place that crown on top of your natural hair
And know that every two curls are not the same pair
Such mystification
Continue to make them stop and stare
And claim that bathroom as your lair
Twisting strands in a beautiful extortion
Place that crown on top of your natural hair
Knowing that you are rare
Foreign enough for deportation
Continue to make them stop and stare
While tossing your head as if a mare
Not caring that normal shampoos are built for exclusion
Place that crown on top of your natural hair
Continue to make them stop and stare
