Five Year Bit

If you want to know
how a criminal thinks,
do a five year bit

If you want to have everything
thrown at you but the kitchen sink,
I suggest you do a five year bit

You'll learn things you can't unlearn
The things you'll see,
it will blind your mind's eye
Things you'll never want to say or try

It's the environment that's partly to blame
Caged people tend to become
more angry, hostile and untamed

I did my five year bit
Didn't get one good night's sleep
through the whole ordeal of it

But a valuable lesson was learned:
Do something stupid,
and you'll meet some of the smartest people
doing a second and third repeat offense turn
