Fizzled Brown Leaf
For our love was short and brief
Fizzled beyond what should have been bulletproof
Flexibility left and gave no relief
Freeing a love that should have been shatterproof.
Forever is gone, no longer fireproof
Feeling that you stole my heart like a thief
Freezing our assets beyond belief
Fleabag of a scum you are, to give me such grief.
Framing all I have left in a glass scarf
Fabrics of fiber as my payoff
For wisening up before the day of a layoff
Finding my senses to takeoff.
Finally able to breathe, spinoff
Fly away, firefly of broken wings and mischief
Far as far can take you, poof
For everyone will step on you like a fizzled brown leaf.
