Flames of Wisdom

At first nothing
Except huffing and puffing
Gasping for air
Burning like fire
The only crier
Blind without a care,
Eyes he will find
Yet still be blind
He will not see
Whenever there is heart
Fire will start
From which no one can flee,
Fire can spread
Always one step ahead
Out it will lash
With flames scorching bright
Hunting weak in the night
Leaving nothing but ash,
Now he grows
Now he knows
The lessons and workings of fire
Fire can scar
Fire can char
In situations most dire.
