Fleet of Heart

I've been in this land for too many years.
She's seen all my cuts, my bruises, my tears.
She's supported my dreams, brought comfort to fears,
And shown me the joy that true love endears.

This place has given me all that I know,
But within my soul lives desire and woe.
For my bones are restless and my feet long to go,
And my mind is impatient, my love longs to grow.

What kind of dreams live over there?
Over the mountains? The Oceans? The air?
Is my heart bound to toil in this city's despair?
Can I escape while there's still time to care?

I want to break loose and go where I please,
Maybe to run through forests and talk to the trees.
The sunset will blaze as I sail the seas,
And Mother Earth will listen as I sing to the breeze.
