Flowers In The Park
I planted the seeds
in the day
and walked away
so I could play.
I found myself
realizing that-
the flowers
wouldn't grow just yet.
I waited a while-
a week or so
and saw that my flowers
truly did grow.
Pretty and dainty,
pure as the sea-
almost as pretty
as a cherry tree.
An abundance of them,
lots and lots-
guess what they were?...
forget-me-nots.
I plucked one
from the soil
and gave it
to my loyal-
friend.
in the day
and walked away
so I could play.
I found myself
realizing that-
the flowers
wouldn't grow just yet.
I waited a while-
a week or so
and saw that my flowers
truly did grow.
Pretty and dainty,
pure as the sea-
almost as pretty
as a cherry tree.
An abundance of them,
lots and lots-
guess what they were?...
forget-me-nots.
I plucked one
from the soil
and gave it
to my loyal-
friend.
