Flowers

Long ago there was a man who loved
A woman with long blonde hair and blue eyes.
For trying to show his love he was shoved.
He knows he has failed and walks away with sighs.

Oh, he tries and tries and never succeeds.
Then he thinks one day and then finds a plan.
He'll write to her and tell how much he needs
Her in his arms and how he's a good man.

She needs this letter and then just laughs.
She's still denying the love that he wants.
While on the inside his heart is in halves.
He just wants to hear her reason just once.

No need for all the stress and long hours.
'Cause all she really wanted were flowers.
