They say the sky is the limit
but higher, you knew you could fly
Without care of perception,
you venture to grasp the sunrise

High above the clouds,
farther than eye could see
Dreams that seemed to be in reach,
but fail to become reality

For foolishness comes at a price
Icarus curses your name!
Though you are not in the tale,
your ending is much the same

The oceans bid you welcome
from your vacuous attempt
to go beyond the limits
of which no one is exempt

They say the sky is the limit,
but that's no entirely true;
there is still so much out there...
It just wasn't meant for you
