Fog

Fog is my constant reminder, that I'm clouded by the thoughts of you.
The effects fog causes on a city, on the society,
Are that which you cause on me.
I can't see 10 feet ahead, because everything is blurry, fuzzy.
You make it hard to see, you dim out the harsh lights,
The wrath of the sun. But you make my nights more obscure
In the long run. I want to drive into you, even though
I'm going into the unknown. You're simply as quick and vast,
So my feelings fast and never spoken of again.
Furthermore, you may be gone but not for long.
Fog still exists when it disperses, we just can't see it.
And you will make feelings emerge, though I thought they were hidden.
And like fog, you bring a sense of mystery,
Uncertainty, yet there's perfect clarity.
Why you could be "the one," but I stopped and thought:
I have a love for anything beautiful nature has to offer,
And you are the most beautiful thing that nature has done.
The effects fog causes on a city, on society
Are that which you cause on me.
But here I am finally, on my last claim.
One day I will see the terrain, and when that happens
I will have to refrain, from going back and walking into
The fog again because that's where, my hopes of me and you remain.
Fog is my constant reminder that I'm clouded by
the thoughts of you. Fog is my reminder to not steer into you.
You are the fog, or are you just pretty smog?
