Fool in my own fairy tale

By

Your words flew like a cool fall breeze
I was under the spell of those words
You told me you loved me
You said you would never leave
That you would stay when everyone else left
Now I am sitting letting the hot water wash over me
I keep seeing an empty wine glass as I drink my sorrows away
You said forever and I was the fool the believed every word
I keep telling myself that I will have my fair tell ending
But is the truly how love goes
Or do we love until our love grows to hate
When will we figure it all out
Or perhaps it don't happen in one life time
All I know is I was the fool in my own fairy tale.
