For John

To you I cannot speak
Those words I wish to keep
How would you know who I am
When everything is such a sham?
Have I failed you somehow?
Please admit it for now--
I am about to question truths from above
It is you my husband that I love

This Poems Story

I really like this poem that I wrote "For John," and what inspired me was Robert Frost's classic "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening." I feel it has the same rhythm and flow. I have seven years of college and was a journalism major at St. John Fisher College in Pittsford, NY, where I wrote for the school paper and received my Bachelor's degree. Recently I have been published in Rochester's daily newspaper, the Democrat and Chronicle (four letters to the editor and one published correction of the Associated Press). I hope to become a tutor.
