For My Baby Girl
Oh my dear, my darling girl, my wish upon a star,
My prayer, my heart, my hopes and dreams, wrapped up in who you are.
You’re every good thing there ever was. You’re sparkle and color and glow.
You’re a princess, a mighty girl, a warrior, a helper, and a hero.
You’re magical, mythical, a mystery, a wild horse, a fantasy, a rainbow.
You’re wildflowers and honey and warm breezes, pink cheeks and new fallen snow.
You’re butterfly kisses and smiles. You’re stronger than anyone I know.
You’re music and dancing, laughter and tears. Oh, how I love you so.
You’re smart as can be, kinder than kind, with wisdom beyond your years.
An old soul, a heart of gold. You’re everything I hold dear.
I beam when I’m around you. Can’t contain my absolute pride.
Oh my dear, my darling girl, I get to tell the whole world you’re mine.
