FOR THE LOVE OF THE ART
FOR THE LOVE OF THE ART
For the love of the Art
I voyage to depths hitherto unsought.
And like one stricken with the afflatus,
My heart is poured out on sheets –
Issuing and inscribing gold-clad thoughts
Untainted from the heart
As is milk from the udder,
Gladdening.
Like an artist in his craft
With hands dexterously poised,
The heart-piece takes form on the canvas
To the enthral, nay thrill of we all;
So this too, enables to limn a piece –
This confluence of emotion, reason and experience
Steeped in the divine breath –
On hearts and minds,
Soothing sores.
For the love of the Art
The heart sweats blood
And throbs beats as of battle drums
Summoning virility for service;
The mind is prodded,
The spirit probed – yielding priceless thoughts.
