For What You Wish

In my life death is rife
Pain, loss, a tormented life
35 years and I still ask why
Why ow why did I wish you to die

Just hours later, a knock at the door
The life of a child would be no more
Death the cost, my love the crime
Killing my soul one love at a time

Death won at just sixteen
Stupid letter, one you never seen
The words I wrote cut like a knife
Just I wrote,my love took his life

Alone I live for with love I fear
The curse of death may reappear
Through all my grief I tell you this
Always be careful for what you wish
