For You

For you, for you,
I open up and let you in;
A stranger, a friend,
For you, for you,
I open up and let you in.
Our trust, a bit lacking,
Hopes falling through, always cracking.
For you, for you,
I open up and let you in
I know better, I really shouldn't.
I need you, I want you, a habit and addicted.
For you, for you,
I open up and let you in.

Arms wide open, eyes bright,
A bit skittish, I wish I may, I wish we might.
For you, for you,
I open up and let you in.
You say you will, you say you won't;
I believe sweet nothings, silly and naïve,
But for you, for you,
I open up and let you in.
I don't want to give physical,
but physical is all I have.
It's the only thing that's real-
the only thing that's trustworthy.
