Foray

Outstretched hand to touch, or to pet.
The strangeness was such, to forget.

My face portrayed no smile or frown,
because its' mouth could do neither.
But the eyes were so big and round,
two brown circles let us be there.

Our differences faded away,
two sets of eyes saw fresh today.
Inside the needs are all the same,
just a single scar will remain.

The world will go on, humans too.
An alien bond, we must do.
