Forbidden Dance

I came upon a vision, a shadowy haze in the night
A vague silhouette of an angel, dancing lambent light
A ghostly apparition, gently floating as if in a dream
I stood alone in silence, witnessing a strange and verboten scene
My body began to tremble, I fell into a deep mesmerized trance
As shadow and lucent angel, combined in their forbidden dance
A warm glow arose, reflecting in the mist
As shadow and angel intertwined, as if in a passionate kiss
How could something this beautiful, and innocent, not be allowed
A passionate moment in the haze of this strangely earth-bound cloud
Their magnificent ritual continued, until the break of dawn
Then the shadow slowly retreated
And with the mist the angel she was gone
