Forbidden Gaze

You pass by, and our eyes lock.
You stare into my eyes,
And I stare back into yours.
They are hypnotic, those crystal blue beauties you have.
Our eyes embrace for what feels like eternity,
But alas, the gift of seeing you
Cannot last more than seconds.
At the last second, you send me a wave,
And a smile that make my heart skip.
If only you had heard what my eyes had said.
But, I am glad you did not,
Because for now, you are bound to another.
But I can, and will, wait
As long as it takes for you to be mine.
For you, and you alone,
Can save me from sorrow.
