Forbidden Love

The stillness, the cover of night...
The faint warm glow, of a far off light..
A fire blazing a trail straight to my heart,
Your sweet embrace I wish to be a part..
Yet you know not that I covet you so,
This shroud of darkness protects my woes.
You've known me and loved me and thrown me away,
But I won't give up, my love is here to stay.
If only to smell the salt in your sweat,
to hear the sad songs of your regret,
as you lazily strum your guitar,
and I love you like crazy from afar....
