Forever
Dark brown hair
Highlights of blue
She smiled, illuminating the abyss
She said forever
Believing her word
Forever was true
We cuddled
We laughed
We teased each other
For forever
As we sat together
Hours felt like seconds
Talks of children, of marriage, of life
Every flaw was saw as perfection
Truly, in those moments, it was forever
The way she would look at you
Like there was no one else in the world
Every hug she would hold on a little tigher
Every kiss she would lean in a little further
Every goodbye was a little harder
Looking back I wish I had held on tighter
I wish I had leaned in further
I wish I never had to say goodbye
Our forever was not as long as others
But in those little moments
Our forever was more than enough
It was everything
Highlights of blue
She smiled, illuminating the abyss
She said forever
Believing her word
Forever was true
We cuddled
We laughed
We teased each other
For forever
As we sat together
Hours felt like seconds
Talks of children, of marriage, of life
Every flaw was saw as perfection
Truly, in those moments, it was forever
The way she would look at you
Like there was no one else in the world
Every hug she would hold on a little tigher
Every kiss she would lean in a little further
Every goodbye was a little harder
Looking back I wish I had held on tighter
I wish I had leaned in further
I wish I never had to say goodbye
Our forever was not as long as others
But in those little moments
Our forever was more than enough
It was everything

Reminiscing about a past relationship. Even though it may not have been long. It was enough. Every moment, and every memory. I will forever hold dear in my heart. Hopeful for the future.
