Forever and Always

Forever and Always

She gazed at him, as if he were a sky full of stars.
She had this crippling fear,
It ate her alive,
Its name was anxiety.
He told her he loved her.
Every single day they’ve been dating,
He reminded her of those three words.
But still. The anxiety remained.
She had her head on his chest…
She looked at him and whispered “Forever?”
“Always” was his reply.
It was a promise.
No, more than a promise.
It was engraved-
Written in stone.
Forever and always.
Just like them.
