Forever Fall

Your beauty, a wildfire of changing colors
Endlessly consumes me
Countless leaves I’ve caught, countless missed
Catching one worth saving is rare
Descending from above, gracefully floating, I stare
An angel in disguise, I’ve been waiting, hands held high
Finally, I hold you for the first time
Filled with elation, absence of mind
An intricate leaf worth saving
Lucky to call her mine.
