Forever Hers

I will forever praise your mother for creating you.
For molding you to beam as bright as the sun himself
For gifting you that bellow of a laugh that awakens the room,
And those chocolate drop eyes that beam radiantly,
And your stature carved by the Immortal Carpenter himself
-chiseled, etched, and sanded to perfection.
She brought you to life with compassion, tenderness and devotion
While instilling in you strength, intention, and ambition;
Making you to be more beautiful than the crimson roses
And stronger than the most ancient oak.
You are a gem among stones.
With beauty and madness;
Restraint and spontaneity;
Modesty and bravery;
You grace an ever changing world with your being
And I will always sing your praises
But you were first hers.
