Forever My Baby

Ten little fingers, and ten little toes
Green eyes, brown hair and a cute button nose.
Seven pounds, six ounces, and twenty-one inches long.
The moment I held you, how could anything be wrong?

You screamed and you cried, and I could see your fear.
Mommy didn't care because she was just glad you were here.
I squeezed you tight, I just couldn't let go.
I love you more than the world, I just want you to know.

You said your first word, you even started to crawl.
No matter how hard I tried to hold it in, I just had to bawl.
You were growing up so fast, I didn't know what to do.
I was new at this, I didn't have a clue.

You lifted me up whenever I felt down.
You always made me smile, even when I wanted to frown.
I couldn't imagine this life without you, it would make me go crazy.
Forever my little girl, forever my baby.
