Forgetting you

Darkness swells.
Taking over me.
I'm falling into despair,
And dreams of suicide haunt me.
I'm sorry I wanna leave it all behind.
These visions of death
Are close to becoming true
As I hold a pistol to my head.
Tears of grief trickle down in rivers.
I'm mourning our love.
I'm lost in a wave
Of self annihilation swallowing my soul.
Broken,
I scream at night skies,
Lost and riddled with sorrow.
It's not enough to slit my wrists,
Swallow pills,
Inhaled deadly fumes.
I have to completely destroy the past.
Pulling this trigger,
Is the only way to forget you.
