Forgotten Disaster!

Through the fire
See their faces
Blackened! by the fallen ashes
Another blast
Heart races
Frightened! by constant crashes

A child lost his father
Sister lost her brother
A Mother lost her son
Lover lost their other
Tear filled eyes from what they've lost
Who said life should be the cost

Then there's the master
Controlling this distant disaster
Twisting the strings of his puppet soldiers
Weight heavy on their shoulders
On their knees, to the ground
They're overwhelmed by the sound

I lost my friend, my brother in arms
Whilst begging for the day this calms
So many lost, wars come and gone
But, look still, our life goes on!
Whilst moving, closer, nearer, faster
To the next soon to be forgotten disaster!
