Fragile

How fragile is the world tonight
And cold the air we breathe
The blade of ice and agony
Waits inside its sheath
How fragile is the world tonight
And thin the waiting line
Hold the silence close and dear
It might dwindle in the shine

Peace and pain collide
A gentle form of death
Fear and hope combine
And here the tolls collect

How fragile is the world tonight
There's no sense to handle with care
Our eyes turn to the fronts of sorrow
And find out hearts waiting there
How fragile is the world tonight
And anticipation strong
Held up by such small promises
Like nothing could go wrong
