“Life isn’t all rainbows and butterflies, you know”
But for her, it was
“Darling, you were meant for…dreams”
Something about her life was different
Pain fogged her memories
All she could feel was the break in her wings
She looked out for a rainbow in dire need
She needed the promise of Destiny to keep going
What’s wrong with befriending all the World’s butterflies?
The young woman sees the beautiful creatures as heroes
“Here, let me show you”
Do you know what it feels like to be trapped in a cocoon?
Do you know what it feels like to not be able to fly like a caterpillar?
Humans don’t have real wings, so you can’t lie
We all know what it feels like to be stuck
We’re stuck in the mud when we want to run-a-muck
I’m sorry you feel this way
But look to the new-flying butterflies to spread your wings
We’re free
Free as we’ll ever be, my Darlings
So make this life about rainbows and butterflies
Because there can be nothing more freeing and beautiful
