Free Me

A heart that isn’t mine,
wrapped up in love that I can’t find.
I crave you like a feign.
But to you we are said and done; there is nothing more to be seen.
When your hand was mine to hold,
my love for you was never more bold.
It lasted a second
And then you ended it.
All the years I waited in vain
All the heartache and the pain.
Over before it began,
You crushed my heart into sand.
Loving you was my mistake.
So foolish to think it’d be a piece of cake.
Nothing with you has ever been easy.
All I can ask now is that you free me.
