Freedom

The bell rings, liberty sings,
And freedom begins for us within
The walls of this nation built from frustration.
Our country has failed those who sailed
Across the ocean blue to find a world anew.
Indian, Black, and Jew are still the few.
The White populate and also dominate.
Politicians cheat, police beat,
Politicians lie and police deny.
The police shoot, stab, strangle and hit.
They don't know when to quit.
Then we ask, "Why did they have to die?"
And "Why do we have to cry?"
Although freedom prevails, the USA does fail
In letting others in between our walls of sin.
