Water of disbeleif stung my face
Hatred's dog sank it's teeth into my ankle
Pain of segragation beat me up
But I still stood
So that tomorrow would be a better day
Even though
Cuffs of discrimination
Were wrapped around my wrists
My hope was still alive
Guards of inequality locked me up
I still smiled
Was just around the corner
