freely she lives

Out on the open road…her heart still loved
A heart on a cloudy day
Through which the blue sky showed
Dive into your art
The woman tried
The bullet entered just below…her brainstem
She had to bite the bullet for too long one time
Back in the real World, her body couldn’t connect
It felt like there was a hole in the back of her neck
She couldn’t get her brain and her heart to tie up
She needed a solution
She needed it quick
She needed to grow vines from her heart to her brain
She needed to go ahead and plant those seeds
Out on the open road…her garden grew
A garden in the woman’s blood and bones
Through which her soul freely flowed
Dive into your art
The woman did
It saved her life
As she planted the seeds
Her body connected again
And now freely she lives
